Emeritus Professor Robin Watts AM
Professor Watts has been involved with the AIF Scholarship since 1989 when Curtin University took over the responsibility for providing nursing programs for the Scholarship recipients. She has served in various capacities including as Head of School and as a Board member appointed in 2008.
She has extensive experience as a nurse both national and internationally, including in Brunei, Canada, Honduras, Hong Kong, Rwanda, Thailand and Taiwan. She has held a number of management positions at Curtin University, the most senior position being Executive Director of University Planning.
In 2010 Professor Watts was appointed as Member of the Order of Australia for her services to nursing education and health ethics. The following year – 2011 – she was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in the WA Nurses and Midwives Excellence Awards.
