Margot Stretch AM has been a Board Member of the AIF Malaya Nursing Scholarship Board since 1996 and was Deputy Chairman from 2006 to 2013. Margot instigated the AIF Student Liaison Committee in 2008, being Chair until 2013 and is a present member of that Committee.
Margot was the Divisional Chairman of Australian Red Cross from 1998 to 2004 , being the first woman Chairman in WA. She was a Member of the National Council and Executive of Australian Red Cross from 1995 to 2004 and represented Red Cross on many National and Divisional Committees. Margot is still a member of the Divisional Awards Committee and the National Awards Committee. For her contribution to Australian Red Cross Margot was awarded an Honorary Life Membership in 2004.
Margot is a retired physiotherapist and farmer and lives in Kojonup, Western Australia.
